Aspin do 3 peaks: Brecon Beacons practice walk

Get up at 6am and hang out with your colleagues on Sunday? No it wasn’t an early start to a day’s work in Romsey, but rather a trip to Wales to walk our first mountain.

Yesterday, Nathan, Chris, Lizzi, Richard and partner Tracey set off for the Brecon Beacons to scale Pen-y-Fan to get an idea of what the 3 peaks challenge might actually be like. We met in a carpark in the valley and set off on our 12km walk around 10:45. We couldn’t believe our luck with the weather – sunshine with a light breeze – little did we know the different weathers we would experience in the next 4 hours. There were walks, runs, hobbles, leaps, climbs and rests as we made our way round the ridge that frames the valley. After a cracking day, we can’t wait to do another walk and are really quited excited at the prospect of the full challenge. Here is our photo gallery, enjoy!
