ONPOS is a unique service to the Primary Care Trusts within the National Health Service. Several PCTs have demonstrated financial cost savings, time saving from nurses and doctors and increased patient satisfaction by moving away from prescription and using a non-prescription service.
These services were paper based and did have limitations in data analysis and invoicing. ONPOS provides all the administration support required to operate a non-prescription service. ONPOS allows a practitioner to select where to order the products from, provides real time data on expenditure and invoicing has been simplified.
The flexibility of ONPOS allows PCTs to select their own formulary, negotiate their own prices and select their own suppliers. ONPOS is suitable for any size organisation from a group of surgeries to whole Strategic Health Authority, for Nursing Homes or District Nurses.
