Apple launches the iPad
Steve Jobs announced today that the new Tablet sized device will be called the iPad. This has a full sized keyboard and iPod style interface.
Jobs says "The advantage of browsing the Web on the tablet: "The whole Web site (is) in the palm of your hands."
Commentators are expecting the iPad to be 3G enabled. This opens up the potential for ecommerce websites to be accessed more on the move. As the computer is touch based, this may mean that website designers will have to take into consideration a touch screen approach to interaction in their website design.
