Petty Wood’s strong appetite for PixSell iPad ordering

When you’re the successful and renowned food distributor Petty Wood, you need to know your sales order processing is in good hands. This is why Aspin take great pride in providing their PixSell iPad ordering system for the Petty Wood sales reps.

Petty Wood and Aspin first joined forces as client and vendor respectively back in 2010 when Petty Wood took on Aspin’s MiniSell handheld ordering system. Giving the reps access to customer specific account information, stock levels and specific pricing meant the reps were well equipped to tackle their sales calls and maximise their selling potential.

Full screen product images are a wonderful addition to each product descriptor

In 2015, Petty Wood have now adopted PixSell – an iPad based ordering system with all the functionality that MiniSell had to offer – plus a large screen for product images and videos. Having migrated from MiniSell to PixSell, Petty Wood’s Karen Lindridge stated that the main improvements were with the visual side. “Imagery. People buy with their eyes more than with their ears which means the full screen product images are a wonderful addition to each product descriptor. When we first looked at changing from MiniSell to PixSell, one of our main drivers was to empower the sales team by giving them more product details and images and true to form, this empowerment has reduced phone calls back to head office.”

PixSell advocates an ordering process is simpler and easier for both parties

Feedback from the sales reps and Petty Wood customers has been extremely positive too. All are keen PixSell advocates and whilst the sales reps have found it very easy to navigate, the customer feels the ordering processes is simpler and easier for both parties. “There has been no struggle with the changeover – there were minimal support calls from the reps and that speaks volumes!
