Aspin’s monthly client roundup – that was February 2016
Biggest congratulations this month are for our clients in the housewares sector. Early February saw much success at the Innovation of Housewares awards with three of our clients managing to pick up a four awards between them. David and Charles Grunwerg of Grunwerg (Sheffield) were received the ‘Kitchen Hero Award’ at the ceremony hosted at the Vox Centre and sponsored by Aspin. Kitchencraft, Birmingham landed ‘The Service Award’ received by Gary Biggs, whilst Bristol based Horwood Homewares took home not one, but two awards, picking up the ‘Cookware Innovation’ and ‘Bakeware Innovations’ awards. It was a fantastic evening to be part of the celebrations surrounding the success our clients in this sector.
More on the housewares front, new product ranges and announcements mean exciting times ahead for many companies in this sector. Kitchencraft look to build further on their achievement through announcing a new partnership with Paul Hollywood of the Great British Bake-off. This collaboration will see the release of a collection of bakeware products. Horwood have released the fat free ‘Omelit’ maker and new Stellar Copper kitchen gadgets that come with a life time guarantee. Kuhn Rikon have released a Bluetooth pressure cooker which can be controlled by an app, whilst Eddingtons showcase their new midi measure cups that allow for ingredients to be measured in millimetres, teaspoons, tablespoons and fluid ounces. Finally, the Portmeirion Group celebrate their whopping 200th anniversary of Spode’s Blue Italian and the 10th anniversary of the Sophie Conran for Portmeirion collection.
