Promoting health and well-being in the workplace – Aspin wellness programme

October 31, 2017 Aspin News

As part of an incentive to promote the benefits of health and well-being in the workplace – Aspin employees are being offered regular massages from a sports therapist.

Across the last six months, Sports Therapist Ali Rosen ( has been providing 15 minute chair massages as a way to provide natural stress relief and a break in the working day. A number of introductory sessions were first run in May of this year – and are now continuing to take place bi-weekly.

A chair massage is a fully clothed massage which focuses on your shoulders and back. It brings numerous benefits to an individual including:

  • Reduced muscle tension
  • Improved blood flow and circulation
  • Increased energy, alertness and productivity
  • Decreased anxiety
  • Improved mental focus

Commenting on the incentive, Nathan Aspin, Managing Director said: “The feedback we received from the sessions earlier this year was extremely positive. We actively encouraged all members of staff to take up this offer and it has been great to hear how beneficial it has been for them. It is my hope that the massages will, in some way, help to create a healthier working environment at Aspin.”
